Covering for the seat of a wheelchair

A covering (1) for the seat (13) of a wheelchair having a seat flap (14) which can be pivoted downwards for use as a commode, is designed as an absorbent nonwoven provided with fastening members (2, 5, 8) projecting beyond the seat and with a perforated strip (7) in the region of the seat flap. The fastening members can be fastened by means of adhesive points (2a, 5a, 8a) below the seat. A reinforcing fold (4) near the folding edge of the seat protects the nonwoven against tearing when the perforated strip is torn open with the seat flap. <IMAGE>
