PURPOSE:To obtain the same effect as that obtained by performing plural times of thermal transfers by sending an ink sheet one time, by driving a feed roller means so that the feeding speed of the ink sheet by the feed roller is slower than the speed of recording paper. CONSTITUTION:For example, recording paper 2 is fed by every one line by the four step driving of a step motor 9 during a period A. An ink sheet 1 is fed by one step driving of a step motor 5 during the period A. The diameters of the rollers and a speed reducing ratio of a feed roller 6 and a platen roller 4 are set so that the amount of transfer of the recording paper 2 and that of the sheet 1 become equal by the one step driving of each of the motors 5 and 9. Since the speed ratio of the sheet 1 and the recording paper 2 is made to be 1:4 and the driving control is performed at this ratio, it is not required to wind the sheet once and to perform resetting and unwinding. Therefore, the same effect as that obtained by performing plural times of thermal transfers can be obtained by the sending of the sheet 1 by one time. |
