Appliance for decanting free-flowing substances, in particular for loading and unloading tankers

Known embodiments of loading appliances for free-flowing substances consist of extension tubes which are connected to one another in an articulated manner and are fastened to a supporting column in a horizontally and vertically pivotable manner. The moment distribution is produced by a counterweight which is pivotably linked and is adjusted by means of a tension-medium drive as a function of the relative position of the outer extension tube. If the tanker leaves the range of movement of the loading appliance due to drifting, a quick-disconnecting device breaks the connection to the ship. Due to an excess counterweight force then released, both extension tubes would swing up, so that a controlled retraction movement has to be effected by the supply of energy to avoid collisions. The invention describes a kinematic arrangement in which the loading appliance, after the disconnecting operation, moves back without external-energy supply only under the drive by the counterweight on a collision-free path into a position similar to the inoperative position. To this end, normally freely rotatable central discs mounted on the central swivel spindle are fitted into the moment-distributing tension-medium drive, which central discs are locked against rotation during the disconnecting. When the extension tubes swing up, the strands of the tension-medium drive wrap themselves around the drive and force a relative movement drawing in the counterweight and the outer extension tube.
