In a blank (1) for a cardboard cigarette packet or box, of the type which includes a hinged lid or cover, which can be swung up from a closed position into an open position about a fold line (21), and wherein at least the lower edge portion of the front wall (14) of the hinged lid is reinforced by an integral reinforcing tongue (12) disposed on the inside thereof, the width of the reinforcing tongue (12) is greater than the width of the portion (14) forming the hinged cover front wall by the width of curved edge portions (52) of the reinforcing tongue (12), which therefore frictionally engage side walls of the assembled hinged cover to secure the reinforcing tongue (12) in place. <IMAGE> |
