PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pearl-toned aqueous gel ink by combined use of a pearl pigment and colored resin beads so as to afford a color tone of characteristic feature. SOLUTION: This aqueous gel ink contains a pearl pigment 1.0-25.0μm in average particle size, colored resin beads each 0.1-2.0μm in average size, xanthan gum as thickening agent, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, wherein the weight ratio of the pearl pigment/colored resin beads is at (4:1) to (1:4). The viscosity of this aqueous ink is 2,000-20,000 cp (determined using a Brookfield viscometer with a cone No.40, at 0.1 rpm and at 25 deg.C). |
