摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled system, wherein control is performed so that a printing head is not stopped within the minimum moving distance from the stopping positions located at the extreme right or the extreme left, carriage movement control is simplified, and printing speed is improved. CONSTITUTION:Based on the values preset in registers MR and PR, which are assigned in an RAM27, a microprocessor 23 always monitors the fact that the position where a printing head is stopped after printing is located within the minimum moving distance from the stopping position at the extreme end. When the microprocessor 23 detects that said condition is satisfied, the microprocessor 23 issues a command for stopping the printing head at the extreme end position without fail to a carriage. Said operations are stored in an ROM26, the minimum moving distance is set in the register MR, and the extreme end stopping position is set in the register PR.
