The invention relates to a flexible hose having a heat-insulating and/or noise-damping layer which surrounds the hose on its external surface and, for its part, is surrounded on its external surface by a sleeve, the sleeves being fixed by an element that loops around them at the connecting points of the two hose sections. The invention is based on the object of creating a hose of the type mentioned initially whose hose sections can be connected to one another easily and in a completely insulated manner at the connecting points. This object is achieved according to the invention in that, at the connecting points, the layers end adjacent to one another without any reduction in diameter and the sleeves have reinforcing elements there, which are arranged on the external region of the layers and are surrounded by a common element looping around them.
