PURPOSE:When a solution that has absorbed carbon dioxide is regenerated, the regeneration column is provided with a reboiler at the bottom to effect the indirect heating or steam is directly blown into the bottom to effect heating, and simultaneously air is blown to remove carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:For example, carbon dioxide is blown into a potassium carbonate solution of 25% concentration in the tank 1 until the solution is saturated with carbon dioxide. After the resultant rich solution is adjusted in its flow rate, it is heated with the heater 5 up to 100 deg.C and fed to the regeneration column 6. At this stage, when it is heated with only the heater, the capacity of the heater 7 is adjusted, in case of combination thereof with air blowing, the air is adjusted in its flow rate 12 and the heater 14 is also used to heat the air up to the column bottom temperature. Then, the air is blown into the bottom of the column 6 and the regenerated solution is taken out of the bottom as the lean solution 15. In the meantime, the excluded carbon dioxide and saturated moisture are passed through the cooler 9 at the column top and exhausted into the air as a regeneration off gas 11. |
