In a document filing device with a suspension rail bearing a document carrier and having at a central point of its length a pendulum hook for pendulous suspension on a pendulum suspension rod of a pendulum suspension indexing device and, if appropriate, at its upper edge a pendulum abutment for resting against a pendulum stabilising rod of the pendulum suspension indexing device, it is proposed that the suspension rail of integral construction projects in its longitudinal direction over both ends of the document carrier and at that point has bearing points for bearing on two parallel end suspension rods of an end suspension indexing device.
