<p>PURPOSE:An aqueous ink for ball point pens, prepared incorporating a specific alkyl acid amide with an aqueous ink, having improved abrasion preventing effects between metallic balls and tips and lubricity, and capable of giving smooth writing conditions. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous ink prepared incorporating preferably 0.01-3wt% alkyl acid amide of formulas I and/or II (R is 8-16C alkyl; M is H, NH4 or alkali metal), e.g. octylsulfamidoacetic acid (salt) or caprylic acid amidoacetic acid (salt), with an aqueous ink. Preferably, the aqueous ink consists of 0.5- 30wt% water-soluble dye, e.g. an acid dye or direct dye, 10-40wt% water- soluble organic solvent, e.g. ethylene glycol and 28-89.5wt% water. EFFECT:Improved abrasion resistance even with tips made from a synthetic resin, e.g. polycarbonate, other than metal and remarkably extended writing distances.</p> |
