<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find the distance/relative speed of a target, based on a measured amount of frequency change (frequency sweeping speed) per unit time by measuring the amount of frequency change (frequency sweeping speed) per unit time of a frequency modulation signal. SOLUTION: A part 13 for measuring the amount of frequency change measures the frequency sweeping speed of frequency-increasing and frequency- decreasing periods, based on a beat frequency regarding a stationary object that is away by a known distance, and stores it at an actual measurement value storage part 15. A distance/relative distance operation part 12 calculates the distance to the object and a relative speed based on a measured frequency sweeping speed and the beat frequency regarding a target. A distance/relative speed operation part 12 corrects either or both of the beat frequency of the frequency-increasing period and that of the frequency-decreasing period when the frequency sweeping speed differs between the frequency-increasing and frequency-decreasing periods and then calculates the distance/relative speed.</p> |
