PURPOSE:To make it possible to suitably cope with a delay in rise of a film even during high speed conveyance, by providing a movable accumulation roller between a splice roller and a feed roller between which the film is conveyed. CONSTITUTION:When a film 3 on running is jointed with a stand-by film 3a, even through the stand-by film 3a is not paid out from a roll 2a at once, if the running film 3 which has been replenished by means of an accumulation roller 10 during that period, is fed to feed rollers 5, 5, it is possible to feed the film at a predetermined speed even after completion of joint. Further, the pay-out speed of the stand-by film 3a is set so that the speed of the film 3 on travel becomes substantially equal to the speed during the roller replenishing the film. Thus, when the supply of the film by the retraction of the accumulation roller is completed, no delay in rise of the stand-by film occurs, thereby it is possible to maintain the feed speed of the film constant. |
