A method of manufacture of a composite tube obtained from a metal ribbon closed and welded and coated at least internally with one layer at least of a plastic substance extruded inside the tube after its closure by welding, characterized in that the ribbon employed is of aluminium and there is extruded inside the tube a first layer of graft polyethylene and a second layer of a plastic substance.
