<p>The screw has a threaded body (10), a plug tip (11) with a sealing surface (11b) cooperating with a seat in a threaded hole in a hydraulic component fitted with the bleed screw. A vent passage (14, 15) opens behind the surface (11b) and allows hydraulic fluid to be bled out when the screw is slackened off the seat by a wrench applied to a hexagonal head (12) which is provided with a nipple (13) to receive a piece of rubber tubing carrying off the bleed fluid. In order to prevent simultaneous seepage past the screw threads, the threaded portion (10) is provided with an annular groove (16) fitted with an O-ring seal (17).</p> |
