<p>PURPOSE:To perform the unsharp mask processing of a plenty of picture data in real time at a high speed, by decentralizing the load on the unsharp mask processing to two processing systems. CONSTITUTION:The processor 102 of a processing unit 100 scans M.N picture elements in one unsharp mask of a picture to be processed to fetch an original picture signal, and adds it. After the addition, the addition result and original picture signal are sent to a common bus 304 and stored in a common memory 310. Then the processor 102 performs similar arithmetic regarding a next unsharp mask of the pictures to be processed. The processor 202 of a processing device 200 reads the arithmetic result and original picture signal regarding one unsharp mask of the picture to be processed out of the common memory 310 and performs the arithmetic of the remaining part of the unsharp mask processing.</p> |
