PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic disk which excels in durability and wear resistance, by forming a magnetic recording lay on a substrate, and coating the heat-hardening resin added with a material that can easily be evaporated, heating and hardening it, then coating a lubricant to a produced porous film. CONSTITUTION:A ferrite oxide magnetic film is formed on the surface of a substrate 1 of a magnetic disk by sputtering an alloy of Fe, Co, etc. in an oxygen mixed Ar gas and under vacuum. Otherwise a magnetic recording layer 2 is formed on the substrate 1 with a film containing magnetic powder and a binder. Then a mixture of a material such as liquid paraffin, etc. which is easily evaporated with heating and the heat-hardening resin (phenol resin, etc.) which has no compatibility is coated on the layer 2 and then hardened by heat. At the same time, the material which is easily evaporated by heat is volatilized to obtain a porous layer 3. A lubricant 4 is coated on the layer 3. Thus no stick slip is produced to a magnetic disk which excels in both durability and wear resistance. |
