A crosslinked allyl copolymer fine particle-containing aqueous emulsion having a polymerization degree of diallyl phthalate of at least 85 % and an average particle diameter of 200 nm or less, which is obtained by emulsion-copolymerizing (a) 10 to 40 % by weight of diallyl phthalate, (b) 0.1 to 15 % by weight of a hydroxyl group-containing vinyl monomer and (c) the balance of an acrylate ester of a monohydric alcohol having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, has good film formation properties.
