PURPOSE:To receive an emergency transmission and call from a salve station without suspending a picture signal to be transmitted, by inserting a data indicating whether or not to use a circuit in calling search mode to the empty area of the data. CONSTITUTION:A data whether or not to use a circuit in calling search mode is inserted to the empty area of a data to be used for data communication between a facsimile terminal equipment 12 on a parent station side and a facsimile terminal equipment on a child station side to transfer information to the child station from the master station 12. The slave station side, if the transmission of a picture signal is finished, informs the master station side 12 of the finish. In this case, the circuit is made to be OFF state, if the data indicates calling search mode, and the slave station side stops its transmission. After that, the master station side 12 sends a command to be searched for a circuit selection controlling device 13. After receiving the command, the device 13 checks whether or not there are any calls from other slave stations and, if there are any other calls, cuts the previously used circuit to connect with a newly called circuit. As a result, it can respond to an emergency interruption form a slave station not occupying the circuit. |
