PURPOSE:To obtain a tape cassette which protects a tape in excellent way with a simple constitution of small size, by providing two sets of covers which cover an opening section and a bottom part freely turnably, and one of which is latched to the other at closing. CONSTITUTION:In loading a cassette case 2 to a VTR or the like, a cover 15 which covers the opening including a side section latching the cover 16 covering the bottom part with a projection 15b together with a stopper 2e by means of a pin 17, is turned around a shaft A and moved to a position protruded not largely from the case 2. Then, the cover 16 released for latch turns around a shaft B via a stopper 18 to insert a loading member of a tape T' to a space 12 of the opening. Thus, excellent dust-proof is performed in the unloaded period with a simple constitution of small size, and the tape cassette protects the tape in excellent way. |
