<p>A rotation detector for detecting the rotational speed and phase of a rotator adaptable particularly to a pulse generator of a video tape recorder contains a stationary drum which is provided with at least one iron core upon which a coil is wound and a plurality of iron cores with coils wound each thereupon and a magnet. All the coiled iron cores provided on the stationary drum are arranged in a predetermined distance on an identical. circumference from the center of the stationary drum. A rotary drum is constructed so as to such the stationary drum in a spaced relationship and in such a manner that at least one magnet and a plurality of yokes are provided on an identical circumference coaxial with the rotational axis of the rotary drum. The magnet and the yokes provided on the rotary drum are arranged so as to face all the coiled iron cores mounted on the stationary drum as the rotary drum rotates and passes over through the coiled iron cores.</p> |
