<p>PURPOSE:To perform three-dimensional operation with one hand, by providing a joy stick for indicating two-dimensional coordinates with one or two button switches and an increase/decrease switch, and providing the functions for indicating coordinates and for enlarging and reducing a screen. CONSTITUTION:A joy stick mechanism part is operated with the joy stick 2 to indicate (x) and (y) coordinates. When a push button 3 fitted to the stick 2 is depressed, electrodes 5 and 6 come into contact with each other and a voltage V is passed through a differentiating circuit 11 to output a pulse V'. A positive integrating circuit 12 is driven by using the leading edge of the differential pulse V' as a trigger to generate a (z)-axis signal as a ramp function. Then when the button 3 is depressed, the integrating circuit 13 is held. When the button 3 is further depressed, a negative integrating circuit 13 is driven by using the leading edge of the V' as a trigger to decrease the (z)-axis signal and when the button 3 is operated next, the integrating circuit 13 is held. An increase or decreases is made continuously with the increase/ decrease switch 10. Two push buttons may be provided for the increase and decrease, respectively. Thus, man-machine interface is improved.</p> |
