<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being damaged due to tape clogging, by providing a pressure detection switch in a compressed air supply channel to a tape cartridge in order to detect the increase of supplying pressure due to the tape cologging. CONSTITUTION:A tape cartridge 1 is supplied with compressed air via a cartridge air supplying channel 3, and a pressure sensor 9 is provided for the supplying channel. A magnetic tape 4 is a file reel 2 is sent out from an exit 6 by the compressed air flow and the revolution of a reel motor, wound around a machine reel 8, sucked in a vacuum buffer 10 and wound around a capstan 7 to complete the automatic loading. If the tape 4 blocks the internal peripheral of the cartridge 1 as shown in the figure, the pressure of the supplying channel increases, that is detected by the sensor 9 to stop earlier the automatic loading. As the result, the tape is protected from being damaged due to the tape clogging.</p> |
