PURPOSE:To obtain a 2-dimensional driving device for objective lens with a simple mechanism and a compact and light-weight structure, by oscillating and turning an optical system supporter round its center shaft and then moving the supporter in the crossing direction of an information track to give tracking to the supporter. CONSTITUTION:A lens barrel 1 turns with oscillation round its center axis 3, and accordingly an objective lens 2 moves in the direction where its center shaft 4 crosses an information track 10 of an information recording carrier. The lens 2 is mounted to the barrel 1 with a fixed distance secured to the axis 3, and a magnetic body 7 is fixed rectangular to the axis 3. While an external magnetic circuit contains permanent magnets 5-1 and 5-2 bonded with yokes 6-1 and 6-2 respectively, and encloses the barrel 1. Tracking coils 8-1 and 8-2 are wound round the yokes 6-1 and 6-2, respectively. Thus a tracking action is possible in proportion to a current by controlling the current which is supplied to the coils 8-1 and 8-2. This can simplify the mechanism with a compact and light-weight structure for a 2-dimensional driving device for objective lens. |
