PURPOSE:To feed electricity surely and to perform uniform welding for a long time, by bringing an electrode wire in sliding contact with a contact member at all times by a pressurizing means. CONSTITUTION:An electrode wire 17 is fed and electricity is fed with a power feed means to a contact member 7. Welding is carried out while a shielding gas is kept flowed out from a means for supplying a side shielding gas. Since the member 7 in this case is held energized in a Y1 direction by a pressurizing means 15, the forward end part of the member 7 turns clockwise and contacts with the wire 17. The part of a power feed member 6 corresponding to the position where electricity is supplied wears gradually as welding progresses, but the member 6 supported on a support member 5 is held energized in the Y1 direction by the means 15; therefore, the member 6 is held in contact with the wire 17 at all times irrespectively of the abrasion of the member 6 and the electricity is fed surely. |
