PURPOSE:To enhance the machinability and magnetic characteristics of a resulting permanent magnet material by applying a statically isotropic high pressure or a high pressure and a high temp. to a resin bound permanent magnet material to make the inside of the material extremely dense. CONSTITUTION:Starting materials are melted, heat treated, pulverized, and mixed with a binder, and the mixture is molded in a magnetic field and calcined to form a resin bound permanent magnet material. A statically isotropic high pressure or a high pressure and a high temp. are applied during or after the calcination to make the inside of the magnet material extremely dense. Thus, a permanent magnet material having magnetic characteristics comparable to those of a sintered magnet material can be obtd., while maintaining the superior machinability of a conventional resin bound permanent magnet material. |
