This flexible plate for offset printing is formed by an electrophotographic element directly provided with an image comprising an inorganic coating of a photoconductive material fixed onto a polymer substrate. The photoconductive material (16) is an oriented crystalline deposition, of approximately 3000 angstroms thickness, which has been sprayed directly at radio frequency in a process using a Langmuir sheet in order to produce a light-sensitive coating, which is easy to provide with an image, is abrasion resistant and transparent. It is deposited on a sheet of stable dimension, of transparent polyester (12) with a thickness of approximately 125/1000 millimetre, with a layer of ohmic material (14) such as indium tin oxide taken in a sandwich, of approximately 300 angstroms thickness. The transparency of the ohmic layer and of the photoconductive coating on a transparent substrate produces a plate which is also transparent. <IMAGE> |
