The invention relates to a system for steering of the trailer wheels of an articulated vehicle such as an articulated bus, in dependence of the articulation angle between the tractor unit 2 and the trailer 1. The system comprises a guide arm 22 with variable effective length and connected to the tractor unit and the trailer by joints, and to which a connecting rod 5 is connected, connecting the guide arm with the steering mechanism of the trailer, such that a displacement of the connecting rod in its longitudinal direction results in a turning of the trailer wheels, whereby the turning of the wheel is insignificant at small articulation anglesα, and increases progressively at larger articulation angles. <IMAGE> |
