PURPOSE:To prevent the overdrying of the surrounding ground of a water drain device by a method in which supporting walls are provided downwardly on both sides of a drain pipe, horizontal plates are provided between the lower ends of the supporting walls to form spaces, and water under the ground is stored in the spaces and oozes into the ground during a dry season. CONSTITUTION:Plural water conducting plates 1-3 are connected in such a way that slit-shaped small apertures are radially formed between their inner edges, and pipes 6 with opened upper parts fixed with a rib 14 under such a condition that small apertures 5 are formed below the left and right-handed water conducting plates 2 and 3 to make up a water drain device 7. In setting the water drain device 7 under the ground, the horizontal plates 16 and 17 at the lower parts of a supporting wall 15 formed downwardly from left and right- handed both sides of the pipe 6 are placed on a sand layer 23 and buried. Water under the ground is discharged through the water conducting pipe 6 and part of the water is stored in the spaces 26 through the apertures 18. When the surrounding ground is dried, the water penetrates the ground through the apertures 18 to prevent the overdrying of the surface layer 25 of the ground. |
