摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode plate of light weight and excellent durability by having said plate composed of base lattice made of carbon fiber reinforced metal produced by coating of metal on the surface of carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION:The carbon fiber reinforced metal 2 is formed by coating of metal such as nickel, aluminum, magnesium etc. on the surface of carbon fiber 3 having a diameter of 0.2-0.5mm and by weaving such material (metal) an base lattice 1a is formed. An electrode plate for battery is obtained by connecting an end-piece 6a to the lattice 1a which was covered by metal powder such as nickel, cadmium and iron. As a means for coating metal 4 to produce carbon fiber reinforced metal 2, electrodeposition, evaporation, powder metallurgy, fused injection, vacuum permeation and others are used. For connection of the end piece 6a, it is appropriate to form the base lattice 1a using a piece of carbon fiber reinforced metal 2 whose both ends are to be connected to the said end piece.
