<p>PURPOSE:To equalize volumetric efficiency of each cylinder, by a method wherein suction or compression state at respective cylinder is monitored by an inner pressure sensor of cylinder, and based on the result thereof a part of supercharged pressure of a suction system is made to leak. CONSTITUTION:At the time of operation of an engine under supercharged state, a suction or compression state at every cylinder is detected by inner pressure sensors 7a-7d, and dispersion of volumetric efficiency or danger of generation of knocking is judged by a control circuit. When the volumetric efficiency is dispersed smallest efficiency is made into a reference one, and control valves 9a-9d of cylinders, whose volumetric efficiency is large, make opening and closing actions at a certain duty ratio. With this, a part of supercharged pressure in the cylinder is leaked through air leak ducts 8a-8d, through which the cylinder becomes identical with one whose volumetric efficiency is the smallest. When the possibility of generating knocking is present, a part of the supercharged pressure is leaked similarly through opening and closing actions of the control valves 9a-9d, compression pressure is lowered and the knocking can be avoided.</p> |
