PURPOSE:To provide a titled wire for welding to yield the weld metal which can secure prescribed strength, the impact toughness in a service temp. region and the breaking resistance value against unstable breaking by specifying the compsn. range of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni and Fe. CONSTITUTION:A wire for TIG welding of ultralow temp. steel contg. of <=0.07% C, <=0.10% Si, 0.40-0.90% Mn, <=0.010% P, <=0.010% S, 6.0-8.0% Ni, and consisting of the balance substantially Fe is used to construct a structure to be used at about -90--105 deg.C. The weld metal of the welding material obtd. by TIG welding using the above-mentioned wire satisfies about >=60kgf/mm.<2> yield point, about <=85kgf/mm.<2> tensile strength at break, about >=10kgfm Charpy absorption energy at -110 deg.C, and about >=0.1mm. displacement in crack opening in a COD test for weld metal at -110 deg.C as the breaking resistance value for unstable breaking simultaneously. |
