The invention concerns equipment for crushing and drying of material in a stream of gaseous medium, especially an arrangement for simultaneous crushing and drying of heat- sensitive material, containing a housing 1 whose interior is divided by a vertical separating wall 2 into a drying chamber 3 and an afterdrying chamber 4, which chambers communicate with each other via the bottom part of the housing 1, a feeder 6 for the material which is connected to the bottom part of the housing 1, a rotating crushing arrangement 7 for the fed material which is situated in the lower part of the housing 1 and arranged so that its axis of rotation is perpendicular to the horizontal centre line of the feeder 6, a heat generator 9 for supplying a heat transfer agent that is connected to the drying chamber 3, and an element 10 for separation of the dry material from the stream of heat transfer agent, wherein the element 10 is connected to the top part of the afterdrying chamber 4, which arrangement is characterised in that the afterdrying chamber 4 contains an additional rotating crushing arrangement 11, whose axis of rotation is situated at a distance from the axis of rotation of the rotating main crushing arrangement 7, and a deflection plate 13, which is arranged above the additional crushing arrangement 11 and designed to deflect the stream of inadequately crushed material, wherein the deflection plate 13 together with a wall of the afterdrying chamber 4 bounds off a side channel 14 with a slide valve 15 at its outlet, and the drying chamber 3 communicates with the afterdrying chamber 4 via an opening 5 which is contained in the separating wall 2 just opposite the additional crushing arrangement 11.
