<p>PURPOSE:To enable a printing between adjacent lines to enhance a printing quality in a graphic, etc., by providing a printing head containing an extended heating element which is positioned beyond a specified interline width so as to connect with the specified number of heating elements aligned within the interline width and a control part controlling the action of the extended heating element in the printing head. CONSTITUTION:In a printing of aligned characters; a signal A to an AND circuit N26 is stopped to stop the use of an extended heating element D25, in this condition an STR signal is inputted respectively to NOT circuits N1-N24 and a signal LA is inputted to a specific register in a register N according to a printing data to drive the specific heating element specified by the specific register, thus a printing of aligned characters is carried out. In the printing of graphic, etc., the signal A is inputted to the AND circuit N26, the STR signal is inputted respectively to the NOT circuits N1-N25, the specific heating element is driven by a specific register in the register L according to printing data, a signal to be inputted to a heating element D24 adjacent to the extended heating element D25 is inputted to the extended heating element D25 in common with the heating element D24, thus a printing between adjacent lines is conducted.</p> |
