PURPOSE:To invariably obtain an assay value as exact as that measured with a new column by correcting variation in the detected peak value of the material to be measured due to deterioration in the column employing as reference the detected peak value when a specified amount of indicator material flows through a column. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a chromatography assay of creatinine in serum, a specified amount of postassium benzoate (PB) fed both to a serum sample and a new column 4 as indicator material to absorb ultraviolet rays having the same wavelength as detection wavelength of creatinine and the ratio is determined between the detected peak value of PB and that of creatinine to be filed into a floppy disc 11. Before or after a sample serum is fed to a column 4 deteriorated due to repeated use, a spcified amount of PB is fed thereto to find the level of the deterioration by measuring the peak value thereof. The detected peak value obtained when the sample serum is fed to the deteriorated column 4 is corrected with a microprocessor 8 by a computation using the ratio as mentioned above. Then, an exact assay value is indicated or recorded on a display 9 or a recorder 10. |
