PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the fluid loss and the mechanical loss of a scroll fluid machine, by inserting spiral plates to the bottom between scroll laps as a sealing means for the scroll laps, and pressing the spiral plate to the end of a mating lap with a proper force. CONSTITUTION:Fluid pressure is applied to the upper and the lower surfaces of spiral plates 16, 20. Here, if the total fluid pressure applied from a space 17 to the lower surface of the spiral plate 16 is greater than the total fluid pressure applied from fluid transfer spaces V1, V2 and Vd to the upper surface of the spiral plate, the spiral plate 16 is always kept in contact with the top of a mating lap 2b, so that leakage of fluid between each of the fluid transfer spaces V1, V2 and Vd is reduced. Therefore, it is enabled to obtain a fluid machine capable of reducing the fluid loss and the mechanical loss. |
