The mower disc (1) rotates about a vertical axis and has a mower blade (2). The drive (6) to the mower disc is by a drive chain (5). The mower disc is connected rotationally secured to a chain wheel (3) coaxial with same on which the drive chain runs horizontal. Several such mower discs are each connected rotationally secured to a coaxial chain wheel. A single chain can run over chain wheels of at least three discs.
