PURPOSE:To eliminate mutual interference between both surface, by providing at least one nonmagnetic layer with high conductivity between two layers made of a ferromagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic layers 5 and 5' are formed on both surfaces of a copper plate 4, and magnetic heads 6 and 6' are arranged immediately in such a way that their core parts 6-a and 6-a' face each other. During high-density recording and reproduction, a conductor 4 with high conductivity serves as a shield by skin effect to prevent magnetic flux from the core parts of the magnetic heads 6 and 6' on both sides from leaking out through the nonmagnetic conductor with high conductivity, and mutual interference between both surfaces is eliminated to perform the recording and reproduction accurately. Further, ferromagnetic materials 5 and 5' use metallic thin films to obtain thick ferromagnetic bodies, so high-density recording is also possible. In addition, electric surface resistance decreases to make electrostatic charging hard to occur, preventing the sticking of dust, etc. |
