<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a mat without generating deformation and deterioration, by a method wherein an unvulcanized rubber sheet is laminated to a carpet from the backside thereof to be introduced into a mold and brought into contact with the inner surface of an upper mold under pressure from the carpet side by introducing air to integrally carry out vulcanization and molding. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized rubber sheet 4' is laminated to the backside of a carpet 2 to obtain a laminate which is in turn mounted into the carpet mounting part 8 of a lower mold 7 having peripheral rubber 3' arranged to the peripheral rubber molding part thereof so as to direct the pile of the carpet 2 downwardly. In the next step, an upper mold 6 is placed to pressurize and heat the laminate by a press vulcanizer 1 while air is introduced into a carpet mounting part 8 from an air introducing channel 10 to bring the unvulcanized rubber sheet 4' into contact with the inner surface of the upper mold 6 from the side of the carpet 2. By this method, the unvulcanized rubber 3', the unvulcanized rubber sheet 4' and the carpet 2 are integrally vulcanized and molded without compressing and deforming the pile of the carpet to obtain an objective mat.</p> |
