MULTI-NOZZLE INK JET HEAD

PURPOSE:To increase a printing speed and to enhance printing quality and the resolving power of printing, by bringing an elastomer into contact with the peripheral part of an ink jet head other than the part thereof provided with an ink driving electro-mechanical conversion element under pressure. CONSTITUTION:The abnormal vibration of a printing head base body 1 is prevented by arranging elastomers 12A, 12B in a compressed state. In printing, an electric pulse required in printing is sent out from a pulse generator 10 and voltage is applied to a piezoelectric crystal 7 electrically connected to said pulse generator 10. This crystal 7 makes the second plate 3 forming the flexible wall of a pressure chamber 5 bend abruptly internally and the ink in the interior is discharged and flied out of a nozzle 4 as ink small droplets 11 by the abrupt reduction in the volume of the pressure chamber 5 generated by the abrupt bending of said flexible wall and said ink small droplets 11 are permitted to reach opposed recording paper to attain dot recording. The volume of the pressure chamber 5 is restored after the time corresponding to the pulse width of an electric pulse is elapsed and the pressure chamber 5 receives the replenishment of the ink from a common ink chamber 6 during restoration.
