PURPOSE:To prevent a signal from being recorded by an auxiliary magnetic head and a previously recorded signal from falling into disorder, and to improve wear resistance, by sticking an amorphous thin plate which is wider than the auxiliary magnetic pole at the top of the auxiliary magnetic pole on a medium contacting surface side. CONSTITUTION:A vertical magnetic recording head consists of a main magnetic pole 1' made of a several mum thickness thin magnetic film in a strip shape and the auxiliary magnetic pole 3' wound with a coil 2' for recording and reproduction which has a larger-area amorphous thin plate 8' stuck at the top of the medium contacting surface side. Consequently, the method of avoiding the convergence of magnetic flux by increasing the area of the auxiliary magnetic pole itself evades various losses such a an increase in inductance and an increase in necessary current, prevents a signal from being recorded by the auxiliary magnetic pole and a previously recorded signal from falling into disorder, and also improves the wear resistance. |
