The speed of the vehicle is governed by a device activated by a touch-contact switch(14) in the region of the driver's foot and which is operated by the foot used to depress the accelerator pedal(10). The switch is located to the right of the accelerator pedal. De-activation of the device may be by operating the accelerator pedal or brake pedal(12).
