PURPOSE:To record picture information by an electromagnetic radiant ray and to read it out as an electric signal, by using a specified picture information recording medium which provides a light transmitting dielectric layer and an electrode layer on a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A latent image forming layer 14 formed by laminating a lower dielectric layer 11, a photoconductive layer 12 and an upper dielectric layer 13, on a lower electrode layer 10, and an upper electrode layer 15 are laminated successively, and also the upper electrode layer 15 and the upper dielectric layer 13 (and/or the lower electrode layer 10 and the lower dielectric layer 11) are constituted of a light transmitting material against light whose wavelength is >=400nm, by which a picture information recording medium is obtained. Subsequently, (i) an electromagnetic radiant ray from generating device 1 is irradiated to the picture information recording medium 3 through an object to be photographed 2, picture information of the object to be photographed is recorded as a latent image in the medium 3, and on the other hand, (ii) the recording medium 3 is scanned by read-out light L from generating device 4, an electric signal read out from the electrode layers 10, 15 of both sides is regenerated as picture information by a processing device 5, and it is displayed as a visible image on a display 6. |
