PURPOSE:To increase the amount of air suction and to prevent water intrusion following the suction of air by opening a vent in the couling and by covering its inner open part with a lid. CONSTITUTION:While engine is in operation, the outside air is inhaled not only through the suction duct 11 but through a vent 14. An engine plem 15 and a lid 20 are installed outside and inside this vent 14, respectively, and the outside air inhaled from the vent 14 is led first to a recess 21 to collide with a shutter plate 22 and then be parted evenly to the left and right. Meanwhile waters contained by this air such as splash, rainwater, etc. are attached to the shutter plate 22 and carried away. The air which has get rid of water passes through communication holes 23, 23 to be led to the engine room. The water separated flows down along an inclined surface 24 to be then exhausted to outside the couling 8 from the opening's lower part in the vent 14. |
