The slope-mowing appliance consists of a mounted-on frame connectable to an agricultural working vehicle at the front or at the rear. This frame comprises a main bearer which is connected pivotably about a vertical axis to a mounted-on frame connection part fixed to the tractor and which is supported on the ground by means of a supporting wheel, and a jib which is supported pivotably on the main bearer of the mounted-on frame and which comprises a pivotable inner arm and a likewise pivotable outer arm. A mowing unit is connected pivotably to the free end of the outer arm. At the same time, the end of the main bearer located on the appliance is assigned directly to the pivot axle for the inner arm of the jib, the inner arm is angled in a L-shaped manner and there is a pressure-medium cylinder which is articulated, on the one hand, on the main bearer approximately level with the pivot axle and, on the other hand, on the inner arm in the region of the angling. The jib and the mowing unit are pivotable between the ends of the main bearer, as seen in the direction of travel, into a position of rest in which the long leg of the inner arm assumes a position approximately parallel to the ground underneath the pivot axle, the outer arm assumes a position swung up against the inner arm and above this, and the mowing unit assumes an approximately horizontal alignment with mowing tools pointing towards the ground.
