The invention relates to a hydraulic roadway support system, in particular for use in development roads and the like, consisting of caps, hydraulic props and floor bars. The caps and the floor bars are preferably of identical design. At their two ends they each have at least one articulated connection for the releasable connection of side caps, as well as several prop head bearings in the form of bearing sockets or the like. The side caps are of identical design to one another and each have a connecting articulation at their two ends and in the centre area. Hydraulic expanding cylinders serve to expand the side caps. Drift-set-like or frame-like roadway structures in different design forms can be produced by means of the largely standardised support parts, reconstruction of the roadway structures being possible without load relief.
