发明名称 PICTURE DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To mutually overlap the screen partitions that correspond to each of a number of hot cathodes so as to naturalize the respective connections of the screen partitions in a device that displays television pictures by radiating an electron beam on a screen coated with a phosphor. CONSTITUTION:This display element is comprised with the rear electrode 1, hot cathode 2 as an electron beam source, vertical focusing electrodes 3 and 3', vertical deflection electrode 4, electron beam flow control electrodes 5, horizontal focusing electrode 6, horizontal deflection electrode 7, electron beam acceleration electrode 8, and screen plate 9 and an electron beam is emitted sequentially from the upper hot cathode 2a by a specified period of time. The voltage for vertical deflection is applied to the electron beam passing through the vertical focusing electrode 3 between the conductors 13 and 13' that are opposed to the vertical deflection electrode 4 and the electron beam is deflected vertically. Then the control electrodes 5 are comprised with conductive plates 15 with a slit 14 that is long in the vertical direction. These control electrodes 5 partition and take out the electron beam in the horizontal direction by a single picture element and control the passing rate in accordance with the picture signal that displays each picture element. As a result, the connections between the screen partitions caused by each of the hot cathods are always overlapped by adjusting vertical deflection rate and a screen with natural connections can be obtained.
