PURPOSE:To make both expansion and contraction in a stack and a seal member absorbable by means of a frame body embracively holding the stach in an elastic manner as well as to cause the stack seal surface to keep up a good sealability at a specified clamping pressure at all times and simultaneously let the sealability in a manifold be also excellent, thus making a gas leakage nil. CONSTITUTION:Each frame body 10 comes into collision with each side of a cell stack 1 via each heat-resisting first seal member 13 but in this case adjacent frame bodies are coupled together with each other as each bolt 11 being set in one side frame body 10 is inserted into a through hole of each coupling piece 12 installed in the other side frame body 10 and, after a coil spring 14 and a flat washer 15 are inset in each of the bolts 11, each nut 16 is screwed in each bolt 11 and tightened in an elastic manner. Thus four frame bodies 10 are coupled together with each other and come closely to the periphery of the cell stack 1 via the seal member 13 so that these frame bodies 10 come into a state of pressing and embrancing the cell stack 1. Next, manifolds 4 and 5 apply their setting flanges 6 to each frame body 10 via each seal member 17 and are clamped tight by a screw 19 screwable in a tapped hole of each frame body 10. |
