PURPOSE:To permit the capacity in a district having a power cycle of 50Hz to be automatically brought close to that in 60Hz district, especially during warming, by opening and closing a solenoid valve installed in a capacity controlling circuit installed in a part of refrigeration cycle, according to the power cycle of a compressor. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 10 is incorporated into a capacity controlling circuit connected to the second discharge part of a compressor 1 equipped with a conventional capacity varying machine and a low pressure pipe, and when a cycle detector 14 detects 50Hz, conduction to the solenoid valve 10 is suspended, and the solenoid valve 10 is closed, and then refrigeration cycle free from gas injection is formed, and the warming capacity nearly equal to that in 60Hz can be obtained in 50Hz. Thus, the capacity of an air conditioner is controlled by opening and closing the solenoid valve 10 according to the power cycle of the compressor, and particularly the capacity in a district having a power cycle of 50Hz is brought close to that in 60Hz during warming. |
