The present invention relates to a pressure controller for the absorber of a sorption heat pump, in particular absorption heat pump, with an expeller heated by a heat source, an evaporator, a measuring member as well as a pressure-setting member between the evaporator and the absorber. To achieve the aim of producing an absorption heat pump which manages without storage volumes for coolant and solvent, the invention consists in that the absorber pressure (58) is envisaged as measured variable, the pressure difference between evaporator (26) pressure and absorber (18) pressure as manipulated variable, and a value of this pressure difference derived from the temperature of the environmental-energy source which feeds the evaporator as setpoint value. <IMAGE>
