PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a captioned generator by connecting the shaft of a cooling fan to the directly-connected shaft between a forcedly air- cooled engine and a generator and extending a bearing plate of the engine to the generator side for providing a volute chamber furnished inside the fan and a stator-fixing part of the generator. CONSTITUTION:An output shaft 4 of a forcedly air-cooled engine 2 is directly connected to a rotor-drive shaft 5 of a generator 3, and equipped with a cooling fan 6 provided with blades 6a and 6b on both sides. A bearing plate 16 of the output shaft 4 of the engine is extended to the side of the generator 3 for forming volute chamber formation parts 16a and 16b to be furnished inside the cooling fan 6 and a fixing part 16c of a stator 18 of the generator 3. Volute chamber formation parts 16b and 16c are respectively connected to outlets of an engine-cooling-blast passage and a generator-cooling-blast passage for improving the cooling in both of them. Meanwhile, the monobloc shaping of the bearing plate 16 and the stator-fixing part 16c permits to reduce the number of parts. |
